DECEMBER 2020
If 2020 has given us anything, it's an appreciation of companionship. And while this holiday season may look a little different, the elements are the same: speak a little peace, share a little joy, spread a little cheer. All the good doggies and kitties want is a loving forever home where they can dream cozily in warmth and safety and wake up to a full bowl. We wish you the same! Happy Holidays, from all of us to all of you.
Holiday Happenings
Due to the ongoing pandemic and guidelines issued by Alameda County, Valley Humane Society continues to remain closed to walk-ins at this time. Most of our adoptable animals are relaxing in private foster care, and adoptions are being conducted by appointment only in a Covid-safe manner. Please visit the animal profiles online for adoption information. Our adoption center will be closed December 24-25 and January 1 in observance of the holidays. Thank you for your tremendous support of Valley Humane Society as we've all navigated this truly unprecedented year!

The Points of Light organization aims to recognize the extraordinary work provided by individuals to their local communities through giving their time, talent, voice, and resources to make a difference. These 'Points of Light' demonstrate the power of people to spark change and improve the world. Valley Humane Society is proud to share our very own Points of Light volunteer nominees who have gone above and beyond for the Inspiration Honor Roll. Thank you to Donna Lim, Janette McCabe, and mother and daughter team Laura Paladini and Samantha Brown for the exceptional service and dedication they provide to both pets and people at Valley Humane Society.
Friends Indeed
The Friends by Pet Food Express program is spreading holiday cheer by doubling donations back to Valley Humane Society, with any online purchase using our custom link through December 27. To make the holidays even sweeter, Pet Food Express will be generously matching donations up to $25,000 for a special shopping spree gift card! If you would like to make the holidays happier for a rescued dog or cat, make sure to enter Valley Humane Society as the recipient either in-store or at checkout when shopping online.
