Women have held significant influence in religious life in the United States from the very earliest days of European settlement. The power of women in congregations wasn’t always visible, however – at least not until recent decades. How did women shape Unitarian Universalism? What’s changing now?
Join us for worship in person in the Sanctuary, or online. The livestream link and order of service will be shared at bit.ly/FUUSBWorship, or visit our YouTube channel. While inside the Meeting House, masks are strongly encouraged.
Following the service, all are welcome to Coffee Hour in the Community Room.

Attention Parents! We will begin in the Community Room on the lower level with about fifteen minutes of shared, child-centered worship, after which parents can head upstairs for the remainder of the service in the Sanctuary. Children, K-8th grade, will remain in the Community Room for further exploration of the month's theme of vulnerability, led by Faith Development Assistant Margo Whitcomb. Nursery care is also available.

All are invited to the opening of the newly refurbished Arc Gallery at the FUUSB, and an exhibit of Rustscape photographs by Judy Brook after the service on Sunday, March 5. Refreshments will be served.

Spring Sing: A Celebration of First UU!
Saturday, March 11 - 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary
It may still be snowing, but some of us already have a touch of Spring Fever. If that sounds like you, come celebrate!
You’re invited to spend an afternoon at FUUSB with friends (old & new) and hear some fabulous music. We have a lot to celebrate:
3 years ago the pandemic arrived, and everything changed… yet FUUSB is strong, growing, more welcoming than ever!
The ministerial search is going well… in a couple of months, we hope to welcome a new senior minister!
Members and friends are making pledges for 2023-24… in a few weeks, another successful stewardship season will be done!
Everyone is welcome to this musical extravaganza… featuring (among others) Tom Cleary, James Stewart, David Ruffin, Sam Whitesell, Stephen Rainville, George Voland, Linda Patterson, Herb Schroeder, Amelia, Kira, plus the amazing FUUSB Choir!
There’s no charge for being there, or for watching online (available THAT DAY ONLY). The link will be shared at uusociety.org. Bring your friends!
We’re hoping some of us will feel inspired by the music and the company to make a one-time gift… or a first-time pledge… or increase a financial commitment for next year.
But what matters most is getting together and having fun. Rev. Tricia Hart and Stephen Rainville will be our Hosts. Don’t miss it!
Making It Easy with the Click of a Link!
Christina Fulton, Director of Operations & Finance
More and more pledges for the 2023/2024 fiscal year are coming in every day. We are grateful for every pledge that comes in, small or large, lump sum or over time; every pledge is a piece of the puzzle that is our congregation. It helps us to plan for next year, the first year with our new minister!
I was asked recently about staffing costs at FUUSB. It's pretty amazing how stable staffing has been at FUUSB over the years. In fact, our total amount budgeted for this current year is nearly the same amount as it was in 2017/2018. This graph shows total staffing and benefits amounts over time.
The Society is also dedicated to paying all staff a livable wage and where applicable, also paying staff in accordance with the UUA Recommended Salary Ranges. We've also always been able to provide staff with cost of living increases. You can be proud to be a member of a congregation that is an excellent employer, one that compensates their staff fairly.
So if you haven't already entered a pledge for the 2023/2024 fiscal year, we hope you will choose to now. Carefully consider what you will be able to give this year and then complete the online pledge card. Thank you for letting your generosity shine in everything you do in supporting FUUSB!

Soon it will be Spring Time in Vermont and time for the annual UU Spring Auction, our main fundraiser to help finance our UU programming. The online auction website will be up and running soon, so right now, think about events, outings, get-togethers or gift certificates that you can donate to help Build Community and meet our $12,000 goal.
We're Hiring!

The FUUSB is currently hiring for the position of Facilities Manager. This is a full-time position with an excellent salary and benefits package. Anyone who is interested should send an email and resume to Christina Fulton at [email protected]. This job posting is open until the position is filled.
Inclement Weather
Christina Fulton, Director of Operations & Finance
It's Vermont in the wintertime and that means it's time for snow, ice, slush, power failures, and so much more! If this lovely winter weather becomes extreme, the Society may choose to cancel Sunday Worship and other Sunday events, close the offices, or cancel meetings and events on other nights of the week.
If we decide to cancel, we will put a notice on our Website, on our Facebook Page, in our Facebook Group, and we will send out an email to the eNews mailing list. So in case of bad weather, these are the places to look for updates.
If you have a meeting or event scheduled on another day of the week and need to cancel, do your best to send a notice to those who are expected to attend and contact a staff member so that we can put a notice on the door and cancel any Caretaker staff who are scheduled to work. You can find the full Inclement Weather Protocol on our website. Remember to stay safe; don't travel on dangerous roads.
