RPC-MPO Joint Webinar Series: Session 4 Recap
The fourth lunch-and-learn webinar in our 2021 RPC-MPO webinar series took place on Thursday, August 19th. Led by staff in CARPC's Environmental Resources Planning division, this session covered current requirements and future considerations for the region's Environmental Corridor network.
Water Resources
DNR Surface Water Grants
The Wisconsin DNR's Surface Water Grant Program is now accepting applications to support projects that protect and restore Wisconsin waterbodies. The state typically covers 67-75% of project costs. Submit pre-applications by September 2.

Partner Activities
Reminder: Share Your Input on Dane County's Redistricting Project
Dane County's Redistricting Commission seeks public input to define "communities of interest" as it creates new supervisory district maps this summer. Submit your input via Dane County's Representable site by August 31 to be included in redistricting efforts.
MPO Regional Transportation Plan Survey Results
In July, the MPO conducted an online public survey as part of the Regional Transportation Plan update. The survey highlights how people experience with the current transportation system in the Madison area and their priorities for transportation in the future. Results and a summary presentation are now available online.
Commission Activities
Remembering Ed Minihan
CARPC and the region lost a tireless and passionate advocate for conservation with the death of long-time Commissioner Ed Minihan on August 5. Ed was an active leader at both the local and regional level whose impact and contributions will be remembered for years to come.
