Winter Break Reprieve
As we approach the Christmas break, it is my sincere hope that each of us can find time to simply rest. And to support this effort, I have made the decision that there will be no new assignments given to students that are to be completed over the two weeks we are away. The spring semester will be the next leg in this marathon, and we cannot make it to the finish line without taking care of ourselves and supporting each other.
Student Council Spirit Week
Our Student Government has organized a set of Holiday Themes for next week. We look forward to sharing some holiday cheer throughout the halls.
Choir and Orchestra Winter Concert
This event will take place over two concerts on December 10th at 6:30 and 7:30.
HISD Board Trustee Runoff Election Tomorrow
Reminder - The runoff election for three HISD Board Trustee positions is tomorrow (Saturday, December 11). We encourage everyone in those three district areas to model for their children the importance of exercising their right to vote.

COVID-19 Notification Changes
We wanted to update you regarding the manner in which we will share notifications with families and the larger community. We will continue to follow the protocols shared in the Houston ISD Ready, Set, Go plan when a student is in close contact with a confirmed and/or presumed positive case. However, the district has shared that we should no longer share the general announcement with the entire school community, and instead only communicate with those directly impacted. The Houston ISD COVID-19 Dashboard remains updated on a regular basis and can be accessed at this link.
