Learning environment change details and TODAY's deadline

...and more!
REMINDER: Learning Environment Change Request Period Ends TODAY
A link to a change request form was sent October 19 and the opportunity will remain open through TODAY, Friday October 23. Another opportunity to request a change in learning environment will occur in January, with the start of term 3.

If you plan to make a change, please consider the impact a potential quarantine might have on your family in the coming quarter/term and select the correct environment. Due to staffing needs and configurations:

  • Changes at the elementary level will likely cause reassignment of your child’s teacher and class configuration, regardless of your family's decision. In addition, changes in either direction will not be honored after TODAY.

  • KM will not be able to honor changes at the middle and high school levels from distance learning to face-to-face learning after TODAY.

  • At the high school level, selecting distance learning may alter your student’s term 2 course selections.

NOTE: This change request form is only necessary if you want to change your environment for the second quarter/term, which begins November 9.
In this issue of our Counseling News, you will find about:
  • AP test registration
  • College Admissions Rep Visits
  • Dick Ohm Merit Award application

Parents United is focused on empowering parents of children with disabilities to become effective advocates and informed fecision-makers.

Face coverings, in combination with other mitigation measures, have served the Kettle Moraine School District well in the first month of school and are proven to greatly reduce the spread and effects of COVID-19.

The district is in regular communication with Waukesha County Public Health, who strongly recommends face coverings in schools. This recommendation aligns with CDC and State Health Dept guidelines. Our district face-covering requirement is in place for the entire 2020-21 school year, regardless of the governor’s current or future orders.
