Long, Hot Summer Days
We're savoring these slow, sweet weeks of summer and we really mean SWEET! New this week: Sugar Cube cantaloupes and Bubblegum plums are nature's candy, perfect to satisfy any sweet tooth. But, before the American Dental Association comes after us, the Easton Farmers' Market also has the savory delights of the season including: chard, corn, kale, fennel, beets, carrots, kohlrabi, cabbage, herbs, Camembert cheese, and TOMATOES as far as the eye can see!
Important News!
On Saturday September 4th (Labor Day weekend),
the Easton Farmers' Market will be relocating to Hugh Moore Park for just one Saturday.

Hugh Moore Park is the site of the National Canal Museum, canal boat rides, and part of the D&L Trail system. The park is about a 10 minute drive from Scott Park.

WHY are we relocating?

On September 4th the City of Easton is hosting two major events:

1.) A major parade to honor our community’s first responders, commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation will bring its Never Forget Walk and 9/11 exhibit to Easton, en route from Shanksville, PA to New York City. The parade will culminate with a BBQ and live music in Centre Square.

2.) The Tour of Somerville Bike Race (America’s oldest cycling event) is branching out and partnering with Easton for the Twilight Criterium. This high speed, multi lap bike race will go through the downtown, starting and ending with festivities at Scott Park.

Due to the closure of Centre Square, the Easton Farmers’ Market would be required to leave Larry Holmes Drive open to traffic during the market. The safety of our shoppers is tantamount and after working through various layout scenarios we determined that there was no safe way for the market to operate alongside the busy roadway. So, we decided to make lemonade out of lemons and team up with the D&L Trail and the National Canal Museum. We're taking the show on the road to Easton's beautiful Hugh Moore Park. This large, flat, grassy space is nestled in a wooded area between the Lehigh canal and river and there is ample parking and lot of amenities including a free hay ride for market shoppers.

We will be updating our website: Easton FarmersMarket.com with detailed information in the coming days. Stay tuned!
