GSC Faculty E-News for October 2020
As we move forward in uncharted territory it becomes more and more apparent that our students need our support more than ever. Granite State College’s faculty has always excelled at helping us meet our mission of providing a quality, innovative education to adults of all ages throughout the state and beyond. It is your dedication and willingness to share your expertise that allows us to be one of the leading online education experts in the State of NH. We continue to find ways to innovate and excel with the online arena. As our students struggle to find employment or maintain their current careers, we will continue to provide opportunities for them to expand their knowledge, gain encouragement and expertise within their chosen fields.

As our classes remain solely online, I encourage you to find new and innovative ways to engage your students. Whether that be by working side by side with our instructional designers to re-design your online course or discovering fresh and exciting ways for students to communicate and create a community with the online format.

We want you to know that we are here to help! We are excited to share that there will be some new faculty development micro-credentials and offerings coming your way! Some of them are highlighted within this newsletter. Others are listed in the O-TLC Faculty Training and Development Calendar. We have also added several new resources within the Faculty Lounge include resources on Online Engagement Strategies.

As always, we encourage your feedback. If you have ideas for future faculty development, please send them along by completing the GSC Faculty Feedback and Suggestion Form

We would also love to hear your thoughts and current methods for creating a community within your online class.

Thank you for all you do for our students!
With regards,

Dr. Scott Stanley, Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs
