“Things Are A-Changing.”
Yep, that's correct. Nothing stays the same as time passes. One of these changes is in my Factoid question. If you don’t know the answer, read it at the end of the Paint Rag.
The Social Media position is a very important one. You need to know who inhabits that Chair and use her. That’s a big hint already! Kathy Bush has taken the position as Co-Chair to Grace Swanson and will be in charge while Grace travels for part of the summer. Use the empty pages at the back of your pink phone book to add changes,
new names and information!l
Some of you may know that Jeffrey Brosbe has resigned from his position with the Guild as Jobs Chair. His current health has mandated this situation and we are so sorry to lose his special personality and passion that he brought to our Gallery and Guild.
To showcase his past association and work with us, the Board is honoring him with a scholarship to be given to a high school photography student that might follow in his footsteps. Part of the monies came from Jeffrey, himself, that he left with us when he recently came off the wall. The Guild added to his donation and the scholarship money will be given to the chosen student at a future Gallery Reception. In lieu of Jeff’s vacancy, Lin Holzinger will be our new Jobs Chair. She will plug existing holes with some of your special abilities when it comes to assigning jobs!
I brought Eufy cameras and Hubs to the gallery about ten days ago and Cheryl Ehlers and Terry Smith tried to make it all work for our gallery. They spent hours and hours and we ended up with a list of about 6 email addresses and passwords. Alas, we need the same brand of cameras, but closed-circuit to make optimal use for our needs. Cheryl and Terry found unknown outlets, so, we will start again with two new cameras. Hopefully, these will do the trick, to help merchandise stick, to walls and shelves, free of pilfering.
I’m optimistic we will have the Eufy system in service soon. If not, I’m calling my mental health professional.
With all the changes going on around us, our Offtrack Gallery is holding its own and even thriving. I think the adage, “It takes a village” applies to us. We are like a well-oiled Toy, called the Village Machine, that keeps running and running and running.
Thanks to all of you we are moving on down the Tracks.
