Please Plan to Attend Open Hearings

Constitution and Canons 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
This year, it's more important than ever for delegates to attend the Open Hearings in advance of Convention. While there will be opportunity to speak in favor of, or against, the proposed resolutions, budget, and amendments to the Constitution and Canons during the online Convention, the hearings will allow additional time and opportunity for delegates to offer their views and concerns. Registered delegates will receive links for these hearings. Prior to the hearings, please review and familiarize yourself with the draft budget, resolutions, and Constitutional and Canonical amendments that have been submitted to date. An Important Change to the Rules of Order Regarding Amendments
In the past, delegates have been able to propose amendments to resolutions and budget and to the proposed amendments to the Constitution and Canons from the floor of the Convention during the proceedings. This year, in our online setting, any proposed amendments to resolutions, budget or the Constitution and Canons amendments must be submitted in writing in either electronic or written format no less than 5 days before the start of Convention. No amendments, except amendments by the relevant legislative committee, may be submitted after November 9. At Convention, delegates will still be able to speak in favor of or opposition to resolutions, the budget and the amendments to the Constitution and Canons, and they will vote to approve or oppose resolutions, amendments to the Constitution and Canons, and budget.
