HAVE YOU HAD A SLICE OF FOUSTMAN'S ARTISANAL SALAMI?
When you’re piling a charcuterie board with great cheeses and fruits of the season, there’s no better meat to pair than a classic Italian dry salami. Foustman’s salamis are all-natural, nitrate-free and locally made right here in the South Bay. Taste their perfectly spiced pork, beef, turkey, and lamb salami—like the spicy Turkey Habanero. Or stay in festival mode with the Pork Beer or even Pork Cabernet Wine varieties … it’s wine season too, after all!

"FESTIVUS" FOR THE REST OF US:
FINDING FALL FARE AT LOCAL SPOTS
Going out and looking for a restaurant? We’ve got a couple of ideas.

Ludwig’s Biergarten, at the corner of Castro & California in Mountain View, is the best stop for delicious German beers & meals in their open-air beer garden.

Or, if you’re not feeling a beer, how about a cider? October 9 is the four-year anniversary of San Jose’s Cider Junction and they’re celebrating Oktoberfest-style with ciders, bratwurst & snacks—all with their classic Old-World-meets-New-World flair. Stop by to join in this anniversary celebration!
And speaking of celebrating, Domenico Winery + Osteria in San Carlos is beginning their Happy Hour every Wednesday 4–6pm, with special pricing on drinks & bites perfect for enjoying a little vino this wine harvest season.

OUR FIELD SCOUTING REPORT: CALLING ALL PUMPKINS!
Half Moon Bay’s Art & Pumpkin Festival has officially been canceled this year, but Half Moon Bay is still the place to get your pumpkins. We know Andreotti Family Farms and Farmer John’s are open this year and ready for the harvest, alongside plenty of others lined up along the coastal highways.
For those staying on this side of the hill, here’s a unique Cinderella-inspired option to consider: The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch in Palo Alto is back in person this weekend, October 2-3. Pick a pumpkin with a little more glitz and glamour than your average gourd.
