Dear Members,

A few weeks ago, the ACPO Council learned about Health Canada’s decision to allow pharmacists to make hand sanitizer without a site or product license.
I don’t think I have to convince you about the high level of ethics, professionalism and qualification we are employing in every second of our day to day jobs.
Therefore, we decided to approach Health Canada requesting that an exception be extended to the Chartered Chemists – see letter linked below. A similar letter was sent to the provincial government as well, asking them to support the initiative.

I think this is a worthwhile initiative for the ACPO and I am inviting you to join this effort. Please send the below letter with your personal comments to members of the federal and provincial parliament in your area. We also ask that you show your support, as appropriate, in the internal newsletter of your organization's.

Here is the link to the Health Canada information for manufacturers.

If you need any additional information, please reach out directly to me by email president@acpo.on.ca .

I will also encourage you to respond to the survey initiated recently and participate in our virtual AGM on June 6th, 2020.
