ANNOUNCEMENTS
CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY TO IMMAC!
We know that December is a busy time of year for everyone - but especially for the agencies we support during Christmas. To simplify our giving season, we decided to stretch it out a bit! We're starting early this year!!

November 15 - December 3
TEEN GIFT DRIVE

Mid December
TURKEY DRIVE
HOPE OUTREACH
"Until the 5th of November, bring in any items listed below! We are preparing 50 Christmas boxes for the homeless in Kelowna through HOPE Outreach. Bring in new or gently used clothing items such as toques, mittens, etc. Any non-perishable snacks such as candy, chocolate, or other snacks, and toothbrushes, toothpaste, or other toiletries are absolutely acceptable! Thank you so much. We are so fortunate to be in the position we are, let’s try to make this Christmas a little better for others!" -Anna H and Trinty M.
This amazing drive is a student-led initiative, so we want to support both our great student leaders and their project! Cash donations are also welcomed. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. The campaign runs from Oct 25 – Nov 5. Look for the boxes placed in each homeroom. If you have any questions please contact Anna H. or Trinity M., or email Mrs. Uhrich at iuhrich@cisnd.ca

ROOTED IN FAITH
This year we are trying something new for Rooted in Faith -Praying for our Catholic Schools.
The meeting for RIF is on Thursdays at 1:30, in the Bedford Room at ICC

Unable to join us in person?
We would like to encourage you to join us by signing up to pray at your convenience for any class as scheduled here. It is easy; you simply put your name on the list and then pray however you would like for the class and their intentions any time during that week. A sample prayer format will be emailed to you in case you would like to follow the same process the group uses in person (this is entirely optional). After the meeting, the scheduled class receives a prayer card signed by those who prayed for them that week; your name will be added to that card.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." - Col 2:6-7

HOMESTAYS URGENTLY NEEDED
Do you have a spare bedroom in your home and a little extra love in your heart? We are looking for homestays for our international students for this school year. Homestays provide our students with a home away from home by providing the comfort of a family environment, meals, and transportation to and from school. Hosting a student is a learning experience for everyone! You and your family get to learn about a new culture and your student learns about Canadian family life, traditions, and celebrations. We pay $925 per month to host families. If you’re interested in learning more, or know someone who might, please contact Mrs. Brodeur at irhs.ahc@cisnd.ca.
ACHIEVEMENTS
SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
PHOTO SESSION SUCCESS
Our Fine Arts Family Portrait Fundraiser took place last Saturday, October 16 under what at first threatened rain, turned out to be bright, sunny skies. Students from our Studio Arts 11/12 class as well as Alumni, Gabe Cimbaro, volunteered all day to arrange and take photos of families (and sometimes pets). Also, under the careful tutelage of Michael Breakey (whom we thank VERY MUCH), resident retired photographer, students learned how to arrange families in a way that was pleasing to the eye, deal with lights and shadows, as well as entertain young children who may or may have not had a meltdown!
Thank you so much to Grace J., Anna R., Ella C., Andres A., and Lincoln G., who spent their valuable time making this happen!
GREEN AND GOLD NEVER GETS OLD
