Dear first grade families,

This email is to inform you that a student in the 1st Grade class has tested positive for COVID-19 today, 5/13. The student woke up this morning with a sore throat, was tested twice with rapid antigen tests and both test results were positive.

The student was last in school yesterday, 5/12.

We recommend testing your child today, as well as on the following dates:

• Monday, 5/16 - prior to school
• Wednesday, 5/18  (Day 5 after exposure)

If your child has tested positive for COVID within 90 days they do not need to test, unless they develop any possible symptoms.

Symptomatic individuals, regardless of vaccination status, or recent infection, should remain home and if positive or not tested, stay home and isolate for 5 days.

Masking - we need to extend the mask wearing until 5/23, end of day (10 days)
