Hello everyone.
Let’s welcome the month of May. Do you remember when schools had May Day activities? I know that was a long time ago and dates me. However, when many of us were students, we looked forward with excitement, every year, to those special moments shared with friends and family. They seemed to almost kickoff summer and moved us more quickly to the last day of school.
Now, it might be that we have to find our own special moments in May. So, I am inviting you to make more time for reading and enjoying a good novel, poem, or collection of short stories. Also, Mother’s Day is almost here. Give a literary gift to the mother figure in your life. Perhaps there are those whom you admire for their dedication to mothering; don’t forget to add a book to their card of gratitude and encouragement. Cookbooks may come in handy at this time, as well as books on interior design, gardening and storage. Just checkout the library online and soon, in person.
That’s right, you will soon be able to come back into the library in-person. On Tuesday, May 4th and Saturday, May 8th, the Fulton County Library System will again offer patrons access to in-person services, although limited. That access will continue through May, on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

VIDEO AND CRAFT "PARTS OF A PLANT" SATURDAY, MAY 22, 10:00 A.M.
|
|
Starting Saturday, May 22, 2021 please join the Fulton County Library System as they sponsor the video and craft “Parts Of A Plant” presented by Environmental Educator Gwen Brinkley of the Fulton County Department of Public Works. So get your supplies ready from home and print a few pages from on-line, then watch the video.
Do you know all the parts of a plant and the special function of those parts? Join Miss Gwen for an engaging, interactive program about the basic needs of a plant. Plants are special living things, and you will learn that plants need almost the same things that animals do, to live. You will build your own unique “Parts Of A Plant” example labeling the main parts of the plants.
