Resolve to Make 2021 Your Best Year Ever
Get ahead of what is expected to be a very busy 2021.
Focus your "New Years Resolutions" on changes that will reduce your stress while maximizing your success.

Insist on Efficiency. Review your procedures to reduce wasted time. Correct for bottlenecks, bad habits and team members who don't "self start".  Eliminate unnecessary meetings and busywork.

Stop Trying to Do Everything Yourself. Learn to delegate wisely. Don't "dump" in a frantic moment because you don't have the time to tackle a task. Train employees how to succeed when you're not there. Ask "how would you do this?" instead of saying "here's what I want you to do".

Tackle Procrastination.  Everyone puts things off sometimes, but procrastinators chronically deliberately look for distractions. Take stock of your motivation and how you might lose focus.

Work on What's Really Important. If "fires" keep dictating your priorities, take a step back and rethink. Just because something is urgent, doesn't mean it's important.

The Team at Aqua-Flo Supply
Flo-Well is Your Gravel-Free, Labor Saving On-Site Stormwater Solution
Flo-Well™ replaces a traditional drywell by eliminating the need to haul heavy gravel to the site, reducing costs of installation.

The Flo-Well has been helping contractors cut their labor costs and time on the job for over 10 years.

Able to hold up to 55 gallons of water, which is over 50 percent more than a traditional peastone drywell, the Flo-Well units can also be connected or stacked to increase holding capacity and accommodate a variety of drainage needs.

Many cities have required that stormwater runoff remain on the property to reduce pollution into local water beds such as rivers and lakes. The Flo-Well units collect, retain, and discharge stormwater on-site. The volume of runoff is reduced which decreases the chance of flooding and soil erosion.

You can also pipe to and from a Flo-Well using SDR or corrugated pipe ranging in size from 3" up to 8". Flo-Well also has an optional riser with a grate that allows water to flow directly into the Flo-Well to correct low spots in the yard or other drainage problems.

New from Atlantic: Wall Spouts for Hardscape Installations
New solid brass wall spouts are one of the most popular options in the Atlantic Formal Spillways system, which is an easy way to incorporate water features into outdoor living area. These spouts easily mount to any wall, existing or under construction, adding classic European charm to any installation. At the base of the wall, one of three simple Basin Kits provides pump, plumbing and fittings to quickly create single or multiple recirculating installations.

Wall Spouts all share heavy, corrosion-resistant, solid brass construction, with integrated drip edge, 1-1/2" female thread inlet and grounding lug. Unique to Atlantic, the water flowing out of the Spouts can be illuminated from within by innovative Spout Lights, which plumb into the tee supplying the Spout, and feature either Color Changing or Warm White LEDs.
Eco-Rain Tank Systems in Action: The Strand in Hermosa Beach
The City of Hermosa Beach is cleaning storm water runoff before it hits the beach. The Hermosa Beach Public Works Department hired the LADPW to design a treatment train & leach line parallel in the sand next to Ocean Blvd to mitigate direct runoff. EcoRain tanks serve as the 1,015 feet of leach line.

Project highlights:

  • 6,000 cubic feet of EcoRain Tanks installed for infiltration of storm water from city streets.
  • CA Water Resources Board monitored this pilot project for one year. The City will install the same system the full length of Ocean Blvd within the City limits.
  • Street runoff is filtered before entering the Tanks to ensure clean water return to the Pacific Ocean.
  • Clarke Contracting Corp. efficiently installed the EcoRain System.
