Parkway has benefited from Laura's ministry with us in many ways. She broadened the mission engagement of the entire church as well as focusing our Youth ministry on mission. She led 

Youth Mission trips to San Antonio, Ft. Worth and Mobile, AL. Along with Martha DeCou, she 

re-engaged us in hands-on international mission in Guatemala through Tree 4 Hope and the Miguel Magone orphanage, and led two mission trips to Guatemala.

          

Laura has played a key role in engaging the families of our children and youth in the ministry

of the church, and creating new educational opportunities for all ages.

           

Laura has taken our youth to the Mid-Winter Retreat at Mo Ranch and has been a retreat leader at Montreat. She served on the Leadership Team for the Women's Retreat at Mo-Ranch.

           

Laura has served Mission Presbytery on the Church Development Committee, the Commission

on Ministries, and chaired the Presbytery Examinations Committee. She has served as the Moderator for Community Presbyterian Church in Port Aransas and First Presbyterian Church in Rockport. Laura has filled the pulpit for many of our neighboring churches of various denominations.

Your extreme generosity will definitely brighten Christmas for the PCHAS youth in Corpus Christi. Sophia Montemayor has worked very hard to give us a list of the needs and wants of her young clients and will distribute your gifts to the kids for whom you shopped. Also, the generous monetary donations helped buy gifts for the few clients who did not have a sponsor from Parkway. The Mission Outreach Committee wants the congregation to know how much your participation in the Gingerbread Project is appreciated, whether you sponsored a child or made a monetary donation.
