Greetings!

I hope that you are safe and healthy in these never-normal days. My husband, the kids, grandkids, my siblings and I are all fine – so much to be thankful for.

I thought you might want to see the note that my husband put together for the interfaith group he participates in. And watch the video.

The Greater New Haven Interfaith Coalition posted a Thanksgiving weekend event, a virtual service. We realized recently that it is sad – bordering on shameful – that our nation to date has not in any formal way memorialized the more than 250,000 lives lost to the Covid-19 virus. We originally planned an event on the New Haven Green for Friday after Thanksgiving. But given the current Covid spike, this was not possible. The Interfaith event that we chose to put together in its place presents a deep and cross-cultural opportunity to both mourn and give thanks, as our community comes together with open eyes and hearts.

Some of you, as same for me much of my life, hold ‘religious’ events at arm’s length. There is often good reason to do so. But this coalition is tilted towards social justice, is multi-faith, multi ethnic/color/gender, and looks to love and clarity as the way forward, regardless of spiritual lineage. That’s very powerful stuff.
Here’s the link for what we’ve posted.     Love to you all – Paul

Wherever you are now, whatever your situation, I join with you in prayer that each of us moves forward with sharper clarity, perseverance, compassion – for ourselves and for every being. Feel free to share the video with anyone you wish to.

Onward with whatever each of us can do.

Big love,
Mil sig
