Greetings!
Welcome to Fall. It's exciting to see students walking to campus and although schools have reopened their doors for in-person learning, we must continue to work together to slow the spread of COVID-19 and the Delta variant. With children under 12 still not being able to get vaccinated, please keep wearing a mask indoors, wash your hands for 20 seconds, use hand sanitizer, and of course -- get vaccinated if you have not already done so.
Thank you to those who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine. You are protecting our San Jose families and neighbors by doing so. Slowly, we are starting to resume some normalcy, but luckily our fall temperatures allow us to enjoy outdoor activities for at least the next month or so.
We've got some exciting fall events coming up in the city! Viva Calle is back and coming to our district. There's also an opportunity to help clean up the Iris Garden along the Three Creeks Trail and a Silicon Valley Bike Rie. There's so much to do outdoors in our wonderful fall weather. I hope you and your family join me out in the fresh air. Check out the rest of my newsletter for additional outdoor opportunities.
Best,
Dev
