A Message From The Superintendent

Good afternoon Falcons,

Happy Friday! To keep you in the loop on lots of things happening in the district, here is some general information. Next week, the principals will be providing you with dates for the end of the year events and all the other happenings in the district as we prepare for a beautiful summer.

Surveys: Please take a few moments to complete the survey sent to you by Panorama. We partnered with them to gather data that will be used as our starting point in the development of the strategic planning process beginning July 2021. You should have received a link with an access code to complete the survey. Please let us know if you did not receive one and we’ll send you the information. If you’ve already completed the survey, thank you so much. You do not need to complete it again.

Proof of Residency: If you have not submitted your proof of residency for the 2020-2021 school year, you’ll be receiving an email message from my office in the next week. We must have the form completed and returned to the district office for compliance purposes. If you would be so kind to complete the form and return it to the district office, we would be so appreciative.

Technology Check In: We will be checking in the district issued technology for summer updates from all students. You will be receiving information that provides you the process that we will be following, the charges should the Chromebook be damaged, and check in dates if your student is in the Virtual Academy or attends school remotely. The Chromebook your child has checked out now will be their assigned Chromebook for the next several years. We want to make sure that the device is updated and ready for next year. If you purchased insurance, any damage will be handled through the insurance company. If you did not purchase insurance, we will charge the amount to your student’s account in PowerSchool. This amount can be paid through RevTrek.

Summer School: The brochure for summer school will be sent out on Monday morning. You can register your student on RevTrek or bring your completed forms/check/cash to the District Office at 16000 E. Palisades Blvd from 7:30am-4pm starting Monday April 20th. If your student is planning on attending summer school, you have until May 20th to register and pay for the classes. Classes will be facilitated by FHUSD staff and completed on Schools PLP. Classes must be completed by June 30th with the final exam completed by this date.

Summer Youth Camps: We will be offering youth camps this summer. Please watch for the flyer coming out with the schedule and registration process. We are so excited to start having the youth of Fountain Hills back on our campuses during the summer months for youth sports camps.

Fountain Hills High School: We are excited to let you know that Mr. Alexander will be moving from the principal’s position at FHHS to serve the school community as the Executive Director of Student Services at the district office. Mr. Alexander will be working closely with the new administration to ensure a seamless transition for staff, students and parents alike. However, we are sad to announce that Mrs. Pinto will be leaving Fountain Hills for another opportunity to grow in her leadership of public schools. We wish her the best as she transitions to a new position in another district. We are posting the positions and moving as quickly and responsibly as we can to hire a new administrative team for the high school. The interview committees will include staff (certified and classified), parents, and students. Please watch for additional information.
