Talking with Mrs. Tompkins
Students have earned a Freedom Friday Dress Down Day this week. Remember to follow the Dress Down Day guidelines on page 54 of the School Handbook. We appreciate your help with keeping our students, faculty and staff safe.

I would like to remind families that the temporary virtual learning option is not available on a daily basis. This option is for students who are either quarantined or have a medical issue that will keep them home for an extended period of time. Requests for daily virtual learning is not an option.  If your student needs to be quarantined due to a close contact, or has a long-term medical issue, please contact Mrs. Kay Hefner with this information.

The Academic Calendar for the 2021-22 school year is now available on the school website and PlusPortal. The first day of school for freshmen students is August 23 and all students return to school on August 24.

Tuition assistance information is being mailed out to families on Monday. If any documentation is missing from the FACTS Tuition Assistance Application, we are unable to provide any tuition assistance information until that documentation is uploaded.

Final exams for seniors will take place on May 12 -14. Underclassmen final exams will take place on May 26-28. The exam schedule is as follows: Math/Foreign Language, Social Studies/Science and English/Religion. Students must remain until the exam has ended and will be dismissed after their last exam each day.

On Friday, April 30,we will celebrate our seniors with a Senior Spotlight Day. This first-ever event will highlight our seniors' future plans, whether that be entering college/trade school, joining the military or entering the workforce. We will also conduct our collegiate sports signing on this day as well. There will be a new photo back-drop, lots of balloons and props and seniors are encouraged to wear their favorite college/career swag. The event will take place in the lobby from 1-2:30 p.m. Due to COVID restrictions, we cannot have the entire senior class in the lobby at one time, so any senior that wants to participate must complete the google form that was sent via email this week. Students who plan to play a sport in college may coordinate a time for a picture with their coach and parents by contacting Mrs. Bobbi Lawyer. Pictures/videos of this event will be posted on the school's social media.

Although time seems to be flying by and the end of the school year is just weeks away, let us strive to have an open and trusting heart so that we can see what wonders are in store for us.  I would like to take a moment for reflection with this quote from Pope Francis.

"God changes the world by transforming our hearts. When God finds an open and trusting heart, he can work wonders there."

May God Bless You,

Virtue=Strength
This week our virtue theme is TENACITY - the strength to grip onto a goal and refuse to give up. Tenacity is an awesome strength to have on a team, group and within a family. It’s a joy to be around tenacious leaders. This week, time yourself as you do different things throughout the day so you can see how well you are using the gift of time.
