’Tis the season....The season to write. It’s official: National Novel Writing Month started November 1, and we as writers are urged to write an entire novel by the end of the month. But don’t stress out: a novel could land anywhere from 50,000 words to 200,000 words, depending on the writer.
I urge people just to do their best to write as much as they can. My personal goal is to complete 50,000 words of Book 3 of the Serpent’s Heir series (or at least its rough draft). Lose that inner editor persona, and just write. Allow your creative thoughts to flow, and get out as much as you can. With Book 2 basically completed, I am getting more and more excited to start Book 3 and get as much as I can finished. If you’re a writer, or striving to be one, there’s nothing better than just starting. What do you have to lose?
