Good evening GRES Families,
Fall break is such a good time to slow down, open the windows, visit an apple orchard, enjoy a hay ride, or simply spend some time outdoors with your family basking in what is left of this season's sunshine.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are right around the corner; they will be held on 11/11 in the evening and 11/12 in the morning. A sign-up option which will allow choice for in-person meetings as well as a Zoom option will be shared out next week. We hope everyone will find these two options beneficial to learn more about your child's academic progress.
Also next week, our students will be practicing the first of our Run/Hide/Fight drills for this school year.
The GRES PTO is working hard to bring some normalcy back to the school year. We are planning on having the Fox Trot on 10/22/21; the students will run their laps during their scheduled PE time. We are seeking donations as this is the biggest PTO fundraiser of the year and we are still planning to provide prizes that will be raffled off like they have in the past.
For Halloween, we will be having an outdoor parade weather permitting on Friday, 10/29/21. Parents can attend for the outdoor parade. In the event of rain, the parade will be held inside and parents will not be able to attend. Same as last year, the PTO will be providing activities for the students to complete here at school; there will be no volunteers needed for 'parties.'
Please submit a SHOUT OUT (see below) for a staff member you have noticed going above and beyond!
We appreciate any feedback you wish to provide as we believe we are a team working towards the same goal! :)
Sincerely,
Michele Breyne
GRES Principal
