Grants Of Up To $15K For Restaurants - EXTENDED


The Local Restaurant Infrastructure Investment program for NH restaurants has been extended. Awards are available to local restaurants seeking reimbursement for eligible equipment, infrastructure, and technology purchases up to $15,000 per location. It is available to small food service establishments that are physically located in New Hampshire, provide indoor dining, and meet all the eligibility criteria.


If a restaurant has applied and was awarded a sum less than the $15,000 cap, they can now re-apply for an additional award up to the cap amount. 


Deadline: March 15, 2023, at 4:00 P.M.

Employee Retention Credit (ERC) - Claim Up To $5k in 2020 and Up To $21,000 in 2021 Per Employee


The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a refundable tax credit for businesses that continued to pay employees while shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic or had significant declines in gross receipts from 2020 and the first three quarters of 2021*. Eligible employers can claim the ERC on an original or adjusted employment tax return for a period within those dates.


*Recovery startup businesses are also eligible for the ERC in the fourth quarter of 2021.


Credit Maximums:


  • The ERTC is worth up to $5,000 per qualifying employee in 2020.
  • In 2021, this increased to $7,000 per employee per quarter (for a total of up to $21,000 per employee for 2021).

Bangor Savings Bank Grants for Nonprofits Ranging From $2k Up To $25k


The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation is currently offering grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,0000 and from $5,001 up to $25,000. The foundation focuses its philanthropic efforts on improving regional and statewide economies, in addition to lending support to applications in the following areas:


  • Education
  • Social Civic Services
  • Arts and Culture
  • Health and Wellness


General Guidelines:


  • Awards will include support for program development as well as for new and expanded facilities and equipment.
  • Grant awards are generally limited to the market areas served by Bangor Savings Bank.
  • Grant recipients must demonstrate 501(c)(3) status, a need for private financial support, and a direct relevance to the Foundation's areas of giving interest.


Deadline:

  • July 1st and January 1st for the $2,000-$5,000 grants, results generally announced within 45 days 
  • April 1st and October 1st for the $5,001 to $25,000 grants, results generally announced within 75 days

Eversource Energy Foundation Grants for Nonprofits of Up To $10,000


The Eversource Energy Foundation awards charitable grants and sponsorships for programs and events in communities they serve to organizations that support one or more of the following focus areas:


  • Community Wellness and Basic Human Needs
  • Education
  • Clean Energy and Environmental Stewardship
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Economic, Community and Workforce Development


Eligibility:


  • Must be based within Eversource's service territory
  • Must have a 501(c)(3) designation
  • Cannot be a private foundation


Award Amounts: $2,500 - $10,000.


Deadline: April 11; July 11; October 10*


*Grant requests are reviewed three times a year. Funding requests must be submitted at least 90 days in advance. Applicants will be notified of the decision approximately three weeks after the deadline.

Grants for Nonprofits - The Madelaine G. von Weber Trust 


The Trust funds worthy charitable projects throughout New Hampshire that will have a lasting effect on the state and its residents. Applicants for this grant should demonstrate good governance, a sustainable program, strong community/board of trustees support, a track record of valuable service to the community, and a compelling rationale for why the requested funds are needed. To learn more about what proposals have been funded in the past, visit this link.



Eligibility: 


  • Must be a New Hampshire-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
  • Areas of interest include Environmental and Conservation Initiatives, Music and the Arts, and Social Services.

2023 WomensNet’s Grants Of Up To $35k


Women business owners can get up to $35,000 in grants from WomensNet in 2023. This organization offers a variety of grants, including:


  • A $10,000 Amber Grant every month to a woman entrepreneur
  • An additional annual $25,000 Amber Grant to one of the preceding 12 monthly Amber Grant winners
  • A $10,000 grant every month to a “Business Category” entrepreneur. The categories for the upcoming months include:

Food and Beverage (March)

Sustainability (April)

Mental & Emotional Support (May)

Business Support Service (June)


  • One of the monthly “Business Category” grant recipients will also receive an additional $25,000 Year End Grant.


There is a one-time $15 application fee. Only one application is required to be eligible for multiple grants.
