Aggies are invited to participate in the 24-hour 'A' Day of Giving during Homecoming Week 2020. We encourage students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends to join in establishing the College of Science Student Emergency Hardship Fund. We're excited to announce alums Terry & Faye Whitworth generously offer to match your gifts up to $10,000, making the most of each dollar you give!

The search for the next dean of the College of Science is in progress and is being coordinated by the Provost’s Office.

Undergraduate Research and Creative Opportunities Grant (URCO) $1000 scholarship to support original scholarship or creative work. Application accepted October 1 – 15. Scholarship awarded Spring 2021. Visit the URCO Website.

The Science Writing Center (SWC) is offering workshops for students working of URCO grant application. Sign up for the workshop on the SWC’s webpage.

Travel awards are not available at this time, but virtual conference grants are available on a first-come, first-serve basis here. For questions about the conference grants contact Athena Dupont in the Office of Research.

We're Resilient: Hansen Life Science Retreat 2020
Using Zoom and Canvas, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry hosts university-wide molecular life sciences research gathering. 
Science Unwrapped Explores 'Brave New World' in 2020-21 Series
During the 2020-21 academic year, the College of Science's public outreach program, Science Unwrapped, explores the excitement and challenges of emerging science.

This Friday, Sept. 25, Dr. Nick Flann from the Computer Science Department will present on the topic of the spread of misinformation through social media. The talk will be broadcast at 7 pm on Aggie Cast. A live Q&A session with Dr. Flann will follow.

Traditional after-talk activities will be replaced by short videos featuring fun games and crafts for all ages.
