"My center is the heart of every lover.

Every lover with a heart that loves Baba is a center."

Meher Baba

At Meher Center, 1956

Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

Loving greetings from Meher Center. This past weekend, the Center hosted the Spring Cleaning Sahavas, its first sahavas for pilgrims of all ages. Forty hearty souls came together to work and to celebrate His presence in our lives. It was a sahavas in the highest sense, a real ‘give and take of love between the lover and the Beloved.’ And things got done! A lot of cleaning and clearing, saving Meher Center staff weeks if not months of work. Many thanks to those who chipped in with their hands and hearts to create an atmosphere of His love and presence. We look forward to more of these gatherings.

When talking about what it means to work for Baba, during the 1955 sahavas at Meherabad, He said:

“But the greatest work one can do for Baba is to live the life of love, humility, sincerity and selfless service in which there is not the least trace of hypocrisy. Baba's love is for all; and, for each of Baba's lovers to efficiently help others to know this, his own life must be a shining example so that his love may become the instrument to spread Baba's love and the truth of Reality. Such a life and such a love are vital; they carry the weight of highest responsibility, for behind every thought, word and deed is the all-pervading force of Truth.”*

In Baba’s love and service,

Lovers' Offerings

Family Letter #60

Read by Sheila Krynski

23:18

These are readings of a collection of letters written by Mani, Meher Baba’s sister, to the Western family of Baba lovers between 1956 and 1969.

"He has given each one of you the gift of conviction in Meher Baba's divinity"

In this talk, Naosherwan Anzar shares stories and experiences of his life with Meher Baba, which began when Baba first held him as an infant. He goes on to share stories of his family's devotion to Baba, and his enthusiasm as a teenager to renounce the world and join Baba who cabled back: "Renounce nothing but your present attitude."

He then relates the last instruction he received from Baba in May 1965, and his realization of the magnitude of the responsibility Baba bestowed upon him that led to the publication of the Glow Magazine, the founding of The Beloved Archives and a life dedicated to telling the world about Meher Baba.

Meher Center Meeting Place, October 20, 2018

From the Meher Spiritual Center, Inc. Archives

"Do you know when you all go what the cushions look like?"

A pilgrim asks Meher Baba's Mandali member Katie Irani what the Mandali do when the pilgrim season at Meherazad is over. In her amusing style, Katie responds, "What do you think? Who runs this place here, who keeps it in order?" Katie then gives a poetic itemized account of the exhaustive "Spring Cleaning" that ensues when pilgrim season is over.
