SUNDAY LESSON
The Great Decision
April 18 | 10 AM
Join our public service* or watch online.
This Sunday is week two in our new SpiritGroup series based on the bestselling book, DISCOVER THE POWER WITHIN YOU, by Reverend Eric Butterworth.

Join Reverend Steve Towles this Sunday for lesson two from our new SpiritGroup series. The lesson explores the choice of earnestly resolving to live your life as a spiritual being aligned with your Christ consciousness. View this week's introductory video by Reverend Michael Gott.

You can watch the service on our live stream feed at 10 AM, April 18, or join us in person in our sanctuary. Read the full Sunday Message.
* Our public service has limited seating and requires that you adhere to our prescribed safety protocols. The City of Coeur d'Alene has a mask mandate in force. We require that anyone attending our service abide by the mandate.
After the service there is an Online Fellowship Gathering conducted through Zoom. This is a weekly check in to keep us connected during this time of social isolation. To join the discussion, click the link above. We would love to know how you are doing.
Your Unity Spiritual Center is sustained by your financial gifts. If you are able, we encourage you to continue your weekly contributions. Click Ways 2 Give for a list of donation options.

Our new SPIRITGROUP SERIES will begin week two on Suday, April 18. The series is based on the Unity Classic, DISCOVER THE POWER WITHIN YOU, by Eric Butterworth. Oprah Winfrey count's this book as one of her favorites. This 7-week series features guided sessions led by Unity of Houston minister Michael Gott. In addition, Reverend Steve's Sunday Lessons will draw on the weekly topic from the group discussions.

Phat Phollies
At this point, the virtual acts have been submitted to Julie and the work has been started to put them together into a fabulous program for presentation through our streaming service. Stay tuned for an announcement of the planned presentation date.

Community News
Community In-Reach

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the consequences of social distancing, members of our community are dealing certain hardships. Consequently, our in-reach team is offering their assistance. If you or someone you know could use a little assistance, please fill out our contact form. If you are willing to serve as a volunteer for our in-reach team, please contact our team coordinator Sandy at 208-964-4084.

Community Garden

When it is warm and sunny outside, your thoughts naturally turn to the joys of summer. Joys like picking your own vine ripened tomatoes and fresh salad greens right from the garden. If you like gardening but do not have the space at home, we have eighteen plots available. You can acquire one or more for the season for the low cost of $35 per plot. The fee covers the cost of supplying water for our drip irrigation system. As a community gardener, you will also have access to our wood chip pile, and the company and support of fellow gardeners! Although it is not required, we envision that our gardeners will produce such abundance that they will consider contributing excess produce to our Unity food pantry. Since this is a COMMUNITY garden, please invite your friends and neighbors to participate. Plots are offered on a first come first serve basis. To reserve plots, call Audra at 208-667-7300 or Jerilyn at 208-664-1125.

Environmental Challenge

A straw with our iced coffee, a plastic bag to carry our takeout, a wrapper on a candy bar, taken individually, each seems harmless. These modern conveniences are so ubiquitous—and so quickly thrown out—that they hardly register in our minds. But single-use plastics come with a steep environmental price—one that we’ll be paying off for millennia. Our plastic addiction is having a devastating impact on our oceans, our wildlife, and our health. Learn more at the Natural Resources Defense Council/Single-Use Plastics 101.

Join the Mowing Team

We are assembling a team of volunteers to help mow the Unity grounds during the summer months. With a team, this work can be assigned on a rotating schedule, so we won't have to burden a single individual. We have riding mowers, an electric push mower, and an edge trimmer to make this work as easy as possible. Let Jerilyn know if you can help.
Spring Clean-up

There is a work party planned for Saturday, April 17th to get our property spruced up for spring and summer activities. This project includes tree trimming, weeding, and grass clipping. This community gathering and work effort runs from 9 am to 1pm. Everyone is welcome.
Unity Food Pantry

Soon we will have a new food pantry that is stocked with nonperishable food for use by hungry folks in our area. If you would like to help us stock it up, set aside any excess non-expired non-perishable food you can spare, and we will let you know when to start bringing to the Center.
