Hey Beach Family!

With only four weeks left in the semester, I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone to stay focused and committed to finishing strong. This is an exciting time of the year, however, it can also be stressful with final exams and assignments around the corner.

As your ASI President, I encourage you to stay on top of your studies and prioritize your academic responsibilities. This is the time to put in the extra effort and seek out the resources you need to succeed, whether that be attending office hours with your professors, working with a tutor or forming a study group with your peers.

In addition to your academic responsibilities, I also want to remind you of the importance of taking care of yourself during this busy time. Make sure to take breaks when you need them, stay well-rested and try to prioritize your mental health. When you need support, don’t hesitate to reach out to the resources Long Beach State University (LBSU) provides to you for FREE, such as the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)!

Finally, as we approach the end of the semester, I encourage you to explore the numerous events and opportunities happening here on campus! For instance, ASI is hosting the Grow Beach Garden Grand Opening on April 20 from 12 to 2 p.m. This is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the launch of ASI's official garden – providing fresh and organic produce to the Beach Pantry while enhancing our beach community in the process. ASI’s Student Government is also hosting Finals Self-Care Week from April 24 through April 26 to help you alleviate the stress of finals season with various activities and free treats.

From end-of-semester celebrations with special guest performances to academic and career workshops, there are plenty of ways to engage with your campus community and make the most of your time here. Thank you for your commitment to your studies and engagement with our campus community. I wish you all the best in these final weeks of the semester and look forward to celebrating your accomplishments with you!
