AP Exam Registration Ends November 8

Here is what you will want to know before you register:

The cost for each AP exam is $100. Families that are eligible for Free and Reduced Lunch pay $15 for each test. Financial assistance is available for any student in need. Please refer to contact
Wego Drama Presents Clue: On Stage Nov. 5 & 6

Wego Drama continues their season by bringing live theatre to the audience with the hysterical whodunit, “Clue: On Stage”. Performances are Nov. 5 and 6, 2021 at 7 p.m. in Weyrauch Auditorium at West Chicago Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults available at wegotheatre.com or at the door. Proper masks are required for all audience members.

Based on the Parker Brothers board game and the 1984 movie, “Clue: On Stage” is the perfect mystery show to keep the audience guessing and spark some debate. Join the classic characters of Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Col. Mustard as they try and figure out who killed Mr. Boddy
Yearbook Photos For Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors Nov. 15

Picture day will be taking place November 15th during PE or Health classes.

Senior Photo Retakes

Appointments will be scheduled on one of the following dates, November 22, 23 we will be on break from 11/24-11/28 and will resume on November 29, 30 and December 3 after Thanksgiving Break. Parents or Seniors should receive a notice from Prestige with an appointment date and time. If you do not receive an appointment date please call Prestige at (630) 910-6800 option 5.
 
Retakes will take place in the lobby of the Auditorium, Seniors will need to come in through Entrance F.

Wildcat Preschool Begins Nov. 30

West Chicago Community High School offers a Wildcat Preschool program for local children 2.5-5 years of age. Each fall a 3-week program is held Tuesday-Thursday with children being taught by students enrolled in our Child Development 1 courses.

Bidding Open NOW!

Do you love a getting a great deal? Next week is your chance to get some awesome items and help the students at WCCHS at the same time! There will be a wide variety of items, from artwork and gift certificates to area businesses to some special perks for students.
How can you get these deals? Join the Dist. 94 Community High School Education Foundation for our first ever Virtual Fundraiser! Beginning Monday, Nov. 1 at 9 a.m., log onto www.virtualauction.bid/CHSEF, sign in, start bidding, and check back often. Bidding will close Nov. 10 at 8 p.m., and the highest bidder for each item will win.

If you don’t want to bid, but would like to make a monetary donation, that can also be done on the website. Or, if you would like to donate an item for the fundraiser, please contact Chuck Strayve at (630) 742-7466 no later than 10/30.

We can’t wait to have you join us! If you are unfamiliar with our organization, the CHS Education Foundation helps to enrich the educational experience of our Dist. 94 students by providing grant funding to purchase goods and services that make a difference for our students every day.
The Spirit Pump is Back!
An easy way to support Wildcat Athletics!

Just one month remains for this fundraiser at the BP/PRIDE gas station, 1905 Fransciscan Way, West Chicago (northwest corner of Rt. 59 and North Avenue).

Three cents per gallon will be donated to the Athletic Department at West Chicago Community High School when this pump is used!

Preparing for Success on the SAT Tues. Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.

The CEO of Academic Approach will educate participants about the construct of the SAT test. The focus of the presentation will be on the April SAT offered to all juniors, concentrating on the content of the exam, strategies for taking the test, and when and how to prepare. However, all parents and students preparing to take the SAT in the Spring will benefit from this presentation. Prepare to have your standardized testing myths busted, have your questions answered and engage in challenging (and fun!) quizzes.

Learn the new ways to handle thorny topics that end in parent/kid standoffs, such as: delivering constructive feedback, discussing boundaries around technology, explaining sleep and their brains, the anxiety of current events, and family problem-solving.
