Christmas Eve Service

Hope after 2020? What would Jesus do now?
The core of the Christmas story is about hope--something that most of us are craving after 2020. Where can hope be found with the losses and traumas around us? What would Jesus do now?
We will enjoy music from previous services including, the Men's Ensemble and our Choir as well as live and new recordings done by members and friends.

As we begin to emerge from a worldwide pandemic that reminds us how interconnected we are, we gather to share a moment of reflection and consider the future we aspire to build for ourselves, our Fellowship and our community.

Shared Plate Recipient for December 2020
Hope's Closet
Hope's Closet is a Santa Cruz nonprofit organization which has the goal of providing basic items to local families who cannot afford to purchase them. It's mission is to offer donated clothing, shoes, underwear, blankets, books, and toys to children in need. This year has been a special challenge, with added needs from economic hardship and the fire. Hope's Closet operates with the realization that adequate clothing is not only a physical necessity for a child, but also improves self-esteem and sense of well-being. The agency collaborates directly with parents and organizations such as Head Start, Child Protective Services and Salud Para La Gente. All services at Hope's Closet are provided at no cost to the individual or the agencies it works with. Hope's Closet is a 100% volunteer organization.
