Community Update #20
Dear Community Member,
We have received word that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has approved the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11! In preparation for this announcement, we have been working closely with the State, local school district, and Brattleboro Primary Care Pediatrics to provide opportunities for children to get the vaccine which will be available to this new age group at:
1. Schools – must schedule through Vermont Department of Health
2. Brattleboro Primary Care – for registered patients only
3. BMH – must schedule through the Vermont Department of Health.
BMH will host 6 clinics on upcoming Saturdays from 1:30pm to 6:00pm. The first clinic will take place this Saturday 11/6/21. These clinics will be at BMH and individuals should enter through the Richards Building. We will continue to host vaccine booster shot clinics at BMH on Fridays and Saturday mornings. The only change is that we will now offer boosters for 18 and older on Saturday mornings (instead of all day) so we can accommodate this new eligible age group in the afternoons. Vaccines are still being offered at the Unit at 53 Fairview Street as well.
