College Class Withdrawal Deadline-November 12th
If you need to withdraw from a college course (whether you are taking it at CEC Inverness or directly on a community college campus), please see your CEC academic advisor before November 12th. Withdrawing from a course means you will have a “W” on your transcript, and it will not affect your GPA. However, you will be financially responsible for the cost of the class. There are forms that need to be completed and signed before you can withdraw from a class.
Sign up to plan your Spring Classes!--Academic Advising Ends on December 10.
We have some exciting new classes to offer for the spring semester: Archeology, Biological Anthropology, Creative Writing, Introduction to Theater and more! Check out the class offerings here.
Academic advising appointments to plan your spring class schedule will end on December 10th. You can schedule your appointment now (see links below). A parent must be present during the appointment.
For College Direct Students or those taking off-campus courses, registration dates for our community college partners are as below. You must meet with your CEC advisor prior to registering for courses off-campus.

Red Rocks: November 1
CCD: November 8
CCA: October 4
Pikes Peak: October 18
Front Range: November 9

Register for the Virtual College Fair Week!
The Colorado Council on High School and College Relations is hosting a virtual college fair week starting November 8th. The event runs from Monday November 8th to Thursday November 11th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The biggest benefit of the virtual fair over an in-person fair is that you can hear the questions being asked by other participants and you can plan which colleges you want to “visit” in advance. There are also sessions on financial aid and military academies. This is an important event to attend if you are a 10th or 11th grader considering attending a four-year university after graduating from CEC.
Colorado College Panel—November 17th at CEC-Inverness
CEC-Inverness will be hosting a panel of representatives from several Colorado Universities on November 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event is open to all students at CEC Parker, Castle Rock and Inverness. Learn what makes each university unique and ask questions of the representatives.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for October, Jesus Ortiz and DJ Edwards!
Student Achievement: Achievement is a word we use to describe a person's valor, boldness, and praiseworthy effort. Jesus Ortiz strongly exemplifies achievement through his positive contributions and efforts in the service of his academics and community. Here's what the teachers had to say:
- "Jesus is constantly at the top of the class when it comes to lab reports and projects. His Cell City project that he made in Minecraft was particularly good. He is one of the masters of the Exploratory Model and is able to apply his learning to the real world."
Student Growth & Character: Respect, Collaboration, Innovation, Community, Curiosity, and Exploration are the core values of Colorado Early Colleges Inverness. DJ Edwards strongly exemplifies these values in his effort to improve himself and his community. Here's what the teachers had to say:
- "DJ is kind, caring toward everyone, always looking out for people, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He helps others without asking for anything in return and always has the best attitude about everything."

Robin Lebsack
Director of Campus Culture
I finished my career on patrol for the Arapahoe County Sherriff Office as of November 1 and immediately started working with CECI. I have gained knowledge with Arapahoe County and through life that I feel translates well into working within the family at CECI as far as helping people through difficult times and understanding a variety of circumstances through effective communications and developing strong partnerships to be effective as a team. I hope to be a strong leader and great example to students as well as their families and staff as a person who can be counted on in all circumstances. I love spending time with my family and friends, camping, riding my bicycle and getting into nature as much as possible.
