Dan Connell - Author talk and book signing

Against All Odds, published in 1993, is a firsthand account of Eritrea's 30-year fight for independence from Ethiopia. Dan Connell, a former journalist and aid professional, has reported on Eritrea for five decades for numerous print and broadcast media.
Copies of the new edition of his book Against All Odds:
A Chronicle of the Eritrean Revolution will be available. 

This program is co-sponsored by Global Forum book group and the Gloucester Lyceum. Space is limited due to room capacity requirements.

Join us on Zoom for a discussion with Stephen Farrell and Gary Grieve-Carlson on the writer Jonathan Bayliss(1926-2009), who moved to Gloucester in the late 1950s and resided in the city until his death at the age of 82. He earned a living as a business consultant while simultaneously writing his four massive novels in the series called GLOUCESTERMAN. Jonathan spent many evenings with his local literary friends Peter Anastas, Vincent Ferrini, Gerrit Lansing, and Charles Olson, some of whom make fictionalized appearances in the series. Virtual
