Here's What's Happening at M'kor Shalom!

October 12, 2021
Congregational Meetings
Wednesday, November 3, 7:00 pm
Monday, November 8, 7:00 pm

As we look forward to the next few months, we turn our congregational attention to the possible unification with Temple Emanuel.

A "Unification Oversight Committee" of six members of each Congregation has been meeting regularly over the last two months in order to consolidate the conclusions and questions of the six working groups (membership, house, finance, ritual, governance, education) that have been working diligently since early in the year. The results of those meetings will be presented to our Board of Trustees at their regular meeting on October 27, 2021. This will bring into focus the framework for what a unified congregation might look like.

The purpose of these meetings will be to inform our congregation as to where things stand, and also to hear from you as to whether there are issues of concern for you. We invite and encourage you to attend these meetings. They will be held as follows:

November 3, 7:00 pm: Topics are governance, house, education
November 8, 7:00 pm: Topics are ritual, membership, finance
Please check future congregational emails for Zoom login information.

We have set up an email address for unification questions: unification@mkorshalom.org. Members of leadership will be monitoring that email address and are happy to provide answers to your questions.

Thank you for your continued engagement and we look forward to seeing you at one or both of the informational meetings.
