Digital Training for Businesses -

We're delighted to be working with Cosmic and Visit Exmoor to offer you the choice of 5 free training days to help your business benefit from the digital age! Covering subjects such as social media, making your own videos and artwork, websites, blogging and search engine optimisation.

Business Survey-please complete
A new initiative to better understand Exmoor's rural economy and links to the National Park.
The project seeks to map and review current business activities across the moor and to gain wide range of views from businesses around the challenges they face and future opportunities. This evidence will be used to support the Exmoor economy ensuring local business views are represented.

Capital Funding for Businesses
Three European grant funds have recently re-opened for applications in the South West for micro and small rural businesses seeking capital works to create or grow; See the links:
Rural Tourism Infrastructure - to encourage more tourists to come, to stay and to spend more money
  Food Processing - to o grow the economy of rural areas and create new jobs
Business Development - to grow the economy of rural areas and create new jobs
Dark Skies Festival 2020 and Developing Astro-Tourism
Our third annual Dark Skies Festival has now concluded and events were well attended with most business reporting excellent uptake and positive feedback. As and when events are fixed for next year's festival, they can be added to our festival webpage www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/darkskiesfestival

In 2020, we'll be holding some Astro-tourism training , launching a new scheme in recognition of Dark Sky Friendly businesses and also a new walking route known as the Dark Sky Way. Stay in touch for more details.
CareMoor for Exmoor will be launching a Pollinator Campaign in 2020 to raise funds to improve moorland habitats and increase pollinator species within the National Park, helping mitigate climate change and enhance local biodiversity. We need businesses to sign-up to support, promote and sponsor the campaign, if you can help get in touch.

Two Moors Way - web entries
Walking continues to be a major tourism attractor for the area. If you'd like to attract and welcome more long distance and day walkers you might like to consider promoting yourself together with the Two Moors Way walking route.

Pocket Guides detailing the route for visitors are available from our National Park Centres at Dulverton, Dunster and Lynmouth.
