Back to School!

We're kicking off another school year here at St. Vincent Prep Academy - and we couldn't be more excited!

We've kept our doors open, safely serving our community's children and families these last 16 months. And we continue to be here for those who need us most.

Our classrooms are open for full-day, in-person academic and behavioral health Day Treatment programming for preschool and elementary students.

St. Vincent Prep Academy is a safe, in-person alternative for children struggling to succeed in a traditional school setting. Our holistic approach to family-centered care provides comprehensive behavioral health support to ensure each student's growth and success.

The health and safety of our St. Vincent Family remains our top priority. Here’s how we're keeping our children, our families and our care team safe here at SVFS.

All SVFS employees are wearing appropriate face masks/coverings while working onsite as a method of protection to limit the potential spread of COVID-19. We request that all visitors 2+ years of age and all children attending programming at SVFS wear appropriate face masks/coverings – we keep clean masks available in our front lobby.

We've implemented safe social distancing practices throughout our facility. In our St. Vincent Prep Academy classrooms, we’ve limited 10 students per room to comply with the 3-feet physical distancing protocols required in schools by the Ohio Department of Health.

We continue to practice agency-wide cleaning and sanitation measures to maintain a healthy environment at SVFS. We are complying with all cleaning requirements enforced by the Ohio Department of Health and are frequently and thoroughly disinfecting high-contact items and areas in our classrooms and throughout our facility.

All SVFS employees are self-monitoring personal health daily, and we are symptom-checking and taking the temperature of each visitor upon arrival to SVFS each day. Individuals with a temperature of 100.4F (38C) or higher are asked to leave and return when fever and symptom free for 72 hours per CDC guidelines. Individuals and SVFS employees who are ill or displaying symptoms consistent with COVID-19 are asked to stay home.

Frequent and appropriate handwashing is encouraged across our facility. Children are required to wash their hands upon arriving and leaving SVFS, closely monitored by our care team. Handwashing areas and appropriate soap and sanitation are stationed throughout the building, and reminders are provided to all SVFS employees daily.

We continue to monitor health and safety recommendations advised by the CDC and Ohio Department of Health and update our protocol accordingly as changes occur.

If you or someone you know may be struggling to cope with the stress of life's circumstances, St. Vincent Family Services is here. Our valued and trusted counseling services are available to individuals and families across Ohio through safe in-person and telehealth programming.
