Dear Families,
Everything is different this year. As I spoke to our Middle School students today during Lightshine, “It Doesn’t Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Christmas is a time when we often have high expectations as we look forward to our own holiday traditions. A number of our traditions have not come to fruition this year in our own community. As a campus, we are starting new traditions and adding livestream to most of our existing traditions.
Although, it may seem impossible to think about fundraising during these chaotic times, we must move forward as fundraisers are essential to our budget. We have basically rolled all our fundraisers into one event hoping for the best while putting COVID procedures in place and limiting seating to the Gala at a larger venue.
The first Annual St. Rose of Lima Gala was held with the mission of raising funding for operational costs associated with the school. This year, we will build the building.
As time goes on, the event continues to raise funds for the community through specific projects, initiatives, and services - even in the most trying of times, when expenses and efforts have pivoted to include so many new measures of operation. Our focus this year will be to raise funds for a road that includes canopies for the new education building. In addition, our paddles up will go towards furniture for the new classrooms.
This year, we have chosen to add our annual raffle in the winter in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week and our Winter Gala.
But we need your support! We have attached
a list of incentives (In addition to our phenomenal raffle prizes) that include tuition vouchers, family and class incentives.
As for the Gala, we have decided to continue with this event in person at this time because we have committed to serving our community in every way possible. If you are interested in sponsoring the Gala, please view our
sponsorship opportunities or
contact us. General tickets for the Gala will go on sale
December 18, 2020 at 10 am and ticket prices will remain the same as last year.
All of our priorities have certainly shifted and yet our mission at St. Rose of Lima has never wavered – to provide a safe and nurturing environment, an excellent and rigorous education, and opportunities for service to our Community.
We truly appreciate your families' support. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Yours in Service,
Bernadette Lombardo Drabek, M. Ed.
