PASTA GROWS ON TREES!

One of the most famous April Fools' hoaxes was PASTA GROWS ON TREES.  On April 1, 1957, the BBC TV show “Panorama” ran a segment about the Swiss spaghetti harvest, enjoying a “bumper year” thanks to mild weather and the elimination of the spaghetti weevil. Many credulous Britons were taken in, and why not? The story was on television – then a relatively new invention – and Auntie Beeb (BBC) would never lie, would it?

The North Westside Library Community Market and Book Sale Saturday, May 7 10am - 3pm. We are inviting local crafters, bakers, and artists etc. to join in and make this a collaborative community event. The market will be set up in the Killiney Beach Hall parking lot with tables, tents & canopies available. No charge to participate and the more the merrier! LET'S GET TOGETHER!

After a two year COVID hiatus the NWCA Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ is back!! This time, celebrating our wonderful firefighters and all they do for our communities. We look forward to seeing you all there for an afternoon of fun with the Easter Bunny, our firefighters, bouncy horse races and BBQ. We could still use a few more volunteers. INTERACTIVE PLAY GROUP

Baby & Toddler Interactive Play Group The North Westside Community Library welcomes all young families to come up to the library for socializing and baby/toddler geared activities on Wednesday mornings from 10:00am - 11:30am. Donations of baby/toddler geared books, musical instruments, small toys, puzzles and games are greatly appreciated. Please contact Andrea for more info

SECRETARY The secretary manages and maintains our permanent records, prepares for, and documents our monthly board meetings and ensures we are up to date with our annual filings.
