Thanks for a great virtual walk today!
How to Avoid a ‘Twindemic’
Dear Walkers,

Thank you to those of you who joined us live for our October 2021 virtual Walk with a Doc!

For the October 2021 walk, we welcomed Dr. Mitali Sahni who gave a brief, family-friendly talk on How to Avoid a ‘Twindemic’ and then took parent questions live.

For today's walk, the Nevada AAP was excited to partner with the Southern Nevada Health District. Immunization services are available by appointment only at most of SNHD's public health centers. Please call (702) 759-0850 to schedule. Nevada families who do not live near a SNHD clinic can find a vaccine clinic near them on the Immunize Nevada website.

If you missed it, watch the video replay of Dr. Sahni's talk here.
I Got a Flu Shot and You Should, Too
A great big thank you to Dr. Sahni's 4-year-old daughter for her wise advice. Worth a Watch!

Next Walks on
Sunday, November 14 (English)
Sunday, November 21 (Spanish)
Keeping schools open and safe is our first priority, so for now we're keeping our family events virtual to reduce the spread of COVID. When it is safe to do so, we will resume our in-person walks in Las Vegas and Reno.

In the meantime:
  • Keep walking every day
  • Wear sunscreen
  • Bring water
  • Keep 6 feet from other people
  • For everyone 2 years and older, wear a mask when you aren't vaccinated and can't socially distance

We hope to "see" you at our future virtual walks. We will send registration details and a flyer soon.
