Gazprom.com, October 28, 2020: The Gazprom Board of Directors took note of the information on expanding the agreement of cooperation in import substitution of equipment, components, and spare parts for subsea production complexes, entered into by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Gazprom in order to ensure the preferential use of domestic equipment in the projects for the pre-development of the Kirinskoye and Yuzhno-Kirinskoye gas and condensate fields. Sulzer Expands its Tower Field Services Capabilities with a New Facility

Equipment for Making COVID-19 Vaccines is Problem, Says Russian President

Russiabusinesstoday.com, October 29, 2020: President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia was facing challenges scaling up production of its main COVID-19 vaccine due to problems with equipment availability, but hoped to start mass vaccinations by the end of the year, according to Reuters. Russia is currently testing its main experimental vaccine, known as Sputnik V, on 40,000 people in Moscow and outside of the trial has already begun vaccinating frontline workers, but only in small numbers. Scientists: Average annual temperature in the Arctic has gone up almost 3 degrees since 1970

Arctic.ru, October 23, 2020: Experts from Tyumen State University have published the results of their geocryologic conditions monitoring carried out in the western sector of the Russian Arctic. The research was carried out in the typical and southern tundra, forest-tundra, and northern taiga. Experts noted that, along with an increase in average annual temperatures, the annual amount of precipitation had also risen by 5–10 percent. Astanatimes.com, October 27, 2020: The direct investments from the United States to Kazakhstan exceeded $53 billion or 15 percent of the total amount of attracted foreign capital since 1991, reported Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin at the Oct. 26 online Kazakh-American Business Council at the US Chamber of Commerce. State Oil Fund's Revenues Hit $3.6bn

Azernews.az, October 29, 2020: The revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan in connection with the profitable oil and gas agreements amounted to AZN 6.2 billion ($3.6bn) during the period of January-September 2020, the fund has reported.
