December 6, 2020 - 2nd Sunday of Advent
"As it is written in Isaiah the prophet: Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way. A voice of one crying out in the desert: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.'”  Mark 1
A Message from Fr. Gonyo
Dear Parishioners and Friends:

Did you know that Saint Kateri Parish is offering an Advent Retreat? You are invited to join us!

Beginning this Sunday evening, we are posting an "on-line" retreat on the St. Kateri Irondequoit parish YouTube channel and also on our Facebook page. The retreat is a great way to help transition into the Advent and Christmas season. So come join us for a prayerful reflection, as we prepare to celebrate Christmas in the next couple of weeks. We offer prayer, reflection, and a chance to relax with the Lord during these stressful days. Warm up a mug of cocoa and tune in with us!

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is this Tuesday, December 8th.

Mass times:
12:00 pm at Christ the King
6:00 pm at St. Margaret Mary

The Holy Day Mass will also be available on YouTube. If you are worried about missing the Holy Day Mass in person, please know that our Bishop has temporarily suspended the obligation for Catholics to attend Sunday and Holy Day Masses in person due to the current pandemic.

Finally, our Parish Office hours are now from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday through Thursday. The office located on the outside entrance next to Christ the King Church and is marked "Parish Office." We also have a Monday through Friday daily Mass at Christ the King Church starting at 12:00 noon.  I regret that, for now, we are unable to host most other events and prayer groups in church due to the current pandemic.

May God bless you!
Fr. Gonyo

P.S. In case you missed it in the mail, here is a copy of our parish quarterly newsletter for Advent/Christmas.
Join us for our Advent L.I.T. Retreat!
This online retreat will feature vibrant music, witnesses from parishioners, and dynamic talks from staff. This is great way to take a break from this busy holiday season and ongoing pandemic to renew and refresh yourself, as we prepare for Christmas!
