Weekly Director Letter 07/30/2021
Dear Parents,

So far our world travelers have touched down in Africa, Australia, North, and South America, and this week they spent a week in Europe. Next week they will have one more week in Europe before ending their journey in Asia and Antarctica the last 2 weeks of camp. It is hard to believe that there are just 3 weeks of camp left before we end our Passport For Fun and get ready to begin our school year!

It has been so helpful to have parents sent messages in Brightwheel letting us know your child will be late or absent. It alerts the kitchen to have a proper lunch count and also lets our staff know if your child will be attending. Our staff is really doing a great job in the afternoon getting kids ready to go home and to the door. As very few parents are using the Fetch Kids App, we will be discontinuing the use of the app. Miss Jackie does a wonderful job as you approach the door getting your cards ready or having your child brought to the door.

The new shoe routine is also working well for our East Wing and Silver Door Kids. If your child is in one of those rooms and still has not taken home their playground shoes, please do so as soon as possible.

A reminder for our Green and Red Door parents. DCF requires that your child's first and last name be on the top and bottom of the sippy cup. We have found that permanent marker rubs off. If you do not have waterproof labels, we can provide a sheet of 80 for just $5. Let us know if you want us to print them for you. Thanks for helping us to remain in compliance with DCF and to keep your child safe.

Finally, we thank parents who are keeping sick kids home and also those who are coming in a timely manner when called. With your continued help, we will keep all kids in our school healthy. Please know with the increase of COVID cases, we remain vigilant about the wearing of masks inside for all kids in Rainbow and VPK and up as well as staff. Please remember to social distance when dropping off and picking up your child.

Have a great weekend!
