Up North Pride Carnival

This Saturday June 11, 2022

Help Needed!!!

UUCGT will once again be taking part in the Up North Pride Picnic, which has been renamed as the Pride Carnival and relocated to the NMC campus. Our booth will be the same as past years, with a flag making activity and a spirit of welcome.

The Pride Carnival will take place on Saturday, June 11. We know this is short notice and for that we apologize. We will need help from you, our wonderful congregation, to make this happen! Helpers are needed for:

  • Transporting supplies from UUCGT to NMC
  • Setting up the booth
  • Being present at the booth as an ambassador for UUCGT
  • Taking down the booth
  • Transporting supplies back to UUCGT

Please sign up here.

We hope that many of you will be able to join us! Please send questions to Betsy (dre@uucgt.org).

A Note About Rev. Alex's Time Away This Summer:

Rev. Alex will be away from his pastoral responsibilities from Tuesday, June 21st through Monday, August 22nd, returning to the Office on Tuesday, August 23rd.

During this time, the Rev. Wendy von Courter, a Unitarian Universalist minister in our area, as well as the Congregational Care Team will be available for pastoral care and other emergencies. You may reach them at:

Rev. Wendy von Courter -- (231) 884-6434

Congregational Care Team Co-Chairs

Pat Light -- (231) 409-8195

Joanie Jackson -- (231) 883-9292

This is an important time of rest, study, development, and rejuvenation for our Minister. During this time, Rev. Alex will be attending retreats, going on some travels to see family, taking some long hikes, and catching up on his reading list!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Rev. Alex or the Committee on Ministry. And if you have a good book or two that you’d suggest for some summer reading, Rev. Alex would welcome your recommendations!
