“He Is Not Here; He Has Risen”

God, of Jerusalem paths, Gethsemane, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Resurrection morning, thank you for consistently delivering and walking with us through life, giving us strength to face life's difficulties. We thank you for those who stand with us risking their lives and weeping when we weep. Remind us of the purpose of your suffering, that by your stripes, we are healed. Because of your life, death, and resurrection, our relationship with the Creator is restored. We offer prayers for those standing on the sidelines of faith but do not know your saving grace. In relationship with you, may people find the answers to life. Empower your Church and your messengers of peace with words of hope. Help the Church turn its backs on death and open its heart to you, for you are Life. Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace of the resurrection. In the name of our Risen Lord. Amen

Presbyterian Women in the Synod of the Northeast

This month we are spotlighting Presbyterian Women in the Synod of the Northeast (PWSNE).  Similar to PC(USA), Presbyterian Women (PW) is organized at the local, presbytery, synod, and church-wide levels.  As staff travels throughout the Synod, we have met many women who are involved in PW at one level or another.  PWSNE publishes a newsletter two to three times a year.  Click this link to read the newsletter from February of this year.  https://pwsne.files.wordpress.com/2023/02/feb-2023-lighthouse.pdf   It is full of information that will give you a good sense as to what various groups are doing.

This summer PWSNE is holding its triennial meeting from July 14th to 15th at Stony Point Conference Center.  If you wish to attend, please click this link to receive the latest information and to register.  https://pwsne.org/2023/02/07/2023-triennial-gathering-of-presbyterian-women-in-the-synod-of-the-northeast-registration-and-flyer/

Princeton Forum on Youth Ministry

You are Invited to the 2023 Princeton Forum on Youth Ministry event at Princeton Theological Seminary. This year’s theme is “A Time to Heal: Trauma and Grace in Youth Ministry.” Our hope is that you can include this information on your denominational website, and in any newsletter or electronic communication you have with pastors and youth leaders in your network. We think that the Forum is a unique opportunity for youth ministry leaders who crave a community of peers seeking to be transformed through theological reflection that meets practical application in ministry with young people.

Youth ministers are often the ones called upon in the church to cast a vision for how we can build life together with young people in our congregations and communities. Will you please share about this event with those who are doing youth ministry in your congregation?

Here is the event website: https://iymforum.ptsem.edu/

We have also included a flyer that you can share on social media or in newsletters with the ministry leaders who would find value in our resources. More information can be found on our Facebook and Instagram platforms. Thank you for helping us spread the word!
