Our Community Development Department has a new team member. Carli Goode is taking on the newly created position of planning technician/inspector. What better time to meet Carli than now:
Carli is a native Daytonian. She attended The Ohio State University receiving a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in city and regional planning. Carli originally chose city planning because she enjoys architecture but on a larger city scale.
She is very passionate about environmental planning, such as increasing implementation of bike and pedestrian trails, multi-modal transportation and the conservation of parks and outdoor areas.
Carli previously assisted the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission with annual trail counts in central Ohio. In her new job at Miami Township as planning technician/inspector, she will be reviewing zoning permits, enforcing zoning codes and assisting with some planning projects.
In her spare time, Carli enjoys hiking, snow skiing and long distance running. She is currently training for the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.
