Who doesn't love donuts!?

Starting March 1st, we'll begin our monthly "Do-Nut be late for school" event. All students who do not have any unexcused tardies for the month of March be receive a lovely donut breakfast Friday, March 31st. On time means in class and ready to to participate in the class activities by 8:10 each day.

We value every minute that we have with our students and celebrate having them here and ready to go on time!

We will start over again in April, and likewise in May.

Excused tardies

--Arriving late due to a scheduled appointment, i.e. dentist or doctor

--A general tardy across the board for everyone due to inclement weather

--Arriving late due to a music lesson

For those with allergies, and comparable substitution will be made.

Mayfest update:

Yes! For those of you you who attended Mayfest last year, you can look forward to this year's Mayfest to be held once again at the beautiful Bavendick Stateroom on the campus of Bismarck State College. You can also look forward to our wonderfully entertaining auctioneer Jonathan Larsen

  • Would you like to share the concept of classical education with someone, but aren't really sure how to do it?
  • Ever wonder if this differs from classical Lutheran education?
  • Would you like to have a better understanding of classical education and why we do the things we do at MLS?

Plan to attend this presentation Monday, March 13, 6:30 at Bismarck Veterans Memorial Library to get a taste of what classical education entails!

We invite the Sunday School students from our association congregations, as well as those of our MLS students' congregations to submit a favorite piece of work to be included in "From the masters, For the Master." They can bring a piece that they have created that is some way brings glory to our Master. We will also be looking at some of the works of art from our students at MLS who have modeled their works after those of the masters. Watch for more information to be sent out about this event. In the mean time, start creating!

Help us plan for the 2022-2023 school year!

Many thanks to those of you who have completed your registration for next year. Early registration helps us greatly as we make plans for the upcoming school year!

Please note that there is a slight increase in the tuition for kindergarten -7th grade. The annual tuition cost for K-7 is now $5,750, an increase of $250 over the rate from the past several years.

Our board is finalizing the tuition assistance process and will have that available for those who are seeking that help. We are also very thankful for the tuition assistance that our association congregations provide for their members.

It is our hope to help eliminate as many barriers as possible that would may prohibit people from providing classical Lutheran education for their children. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My door is open to you!

Martin Luther School is accepting applications for the position of a combined 6th and 7th grade classroom teacher. This is a very unique position as we have made the move to the classical model of education. We have very supportive staff members who assist each other in the process of learning and implementing this method of education.  Applicants need a current ND teaching license (preferably elementary, but secondary could also work depending on the content area). We are looking at flexible options to fully utilize the strengths of all of our teachers to offer the best possible education for our middle school students.

If you have a heart for students, a passion for education, and a love of sharing Christ, we invite you to consider this position.

Come join Martin Luther School as we take our students to the next level with classical Lutheran education!
