Purify our conscience, Almighty God, by your daily visitation, that your Son Jesus Christ, at his coming, may find in us a mansion prepared for himself; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Church by the Pond -
Saturday, December 18

Trinity is rounding out another year in its longtime commitment to the Church by the Pond/Feeding in the Park ministry. Thanks to the leadership of Christ Church Cathedral, and the generosity of many area faith communities, a worship service followed by distribution of lunches and personal care items is held every Saturday in Bushnell Park at 2PM.

Our next opportunity to serve in this ministry is Saturday, December 18.
- We'll meet in the Trinity kitchen at 12:30 to prepare bag lunches, entering though the outside door to the kitchen.
- At 1:45 we'll bring those lunches to Bushnell Park, where we'll participate in the worship service by the pond, led by Rev. D.
- We'll distribute our lunches, gifts and personal care items following the service, and finish around 3:00.

All parishioners and families are welcome. Volunteers will observe the mask and social distancing protocols in place for in-person worship.

Please contact me if you have any questions, or if you are planning to participate, so that we can coordinate social distancing.

Greening of the Church
Set For December 19

This year’s “greening of the church” will take place after the 10:00 a.m. service on December 19. You’re invited to help with this festive project beginning right after the service, when, our Advent services ended, it’s time to deck the church in its Christmas finery.

It takes many willing hands to decorate our beautiful worship space for Christmastide; plan to be on hand to help with this enjoyable task. Members of our altar and flower guilds will be available to show you what to do.
Upcoming Events in December

Friday, Dec. 17th, 7:00pm - Blue Christmas

A tradition at Trinity Episcopal Church, this service is intended to be one of comfort for those mourning during the Christmas season.

Saturday, Dec. 18th, 7:00pm - Lessons & Carols

Featuring The Choir School of Hartford and Trinity Episcopal Church Adult Choir, this service is modeled after the traditional service of 9 Lessons and Carols from King's College, with choral anthems responding to each of 9 scripture passages that tell the story of Jesus' birth. Our Lessons & Carols service will highlight under-represented composers and will be a triumphant musical celebration for this most special season.

Friday, Dec. 24th - Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve at Trinity Episcopal Church will include an early service at 5:00pm and a late service at 10:00pm, which will feature the adult choir as well as The Choir School of Hartford singing works by Darke and Joubert, among others. The late service will begin at 9:30pm with an extended prelude of special instrumental and vocal music.

Sunday, Jan. 2nd, 9:00pm - Christmas Compline

Join us for our third monthly service of compline. This late-night service of choral music is held in a darkened sanctuary and will feature Christmas choral works sung in an intimate atmosphere of candles and prayer.

Thank You from Dianne Bowens-Waller

Hello Trinity Church! Thank you so much to my church family, Rev. D., the Casserole Ministry, and Intercessory Prayer Team. Your support in both prayers and food has helped so much as I recuperate from my injury. I send my love, blessings and prayers and look forward to seeing you all when I return to church!
