CUNY Board Approves School of Business at Lehman
Lehman College received final approval of the CUNY Board of Trustees to establish the School of Business, along with three new departments: the department of Accounting; the department of Management and Business Innovation; and the department of Economics, Finance, and Information Systems. The Board also approved the transfer of the 23 faculty in the department of Economics and Business to the three new departments. The new school will be the only business school at any public college in the borough of the Bronx, Westchester County, and the surrounding region. The new school, whose niche will include entrepreneurship, small business development, and experiential learning, will position the College as a serious player in the business community and will serve as a major pipeline for preparing diverse talent from underrepresented populations for local, regional, national, and international workforce needs.
Deep appreciation to all those who have worked since 2010 to-date to birth the business school at Lehman. Congratulations to the College!

The Lehman platform for the Library’s chat reference and e-mail services has changed. Working in conjunction with several CUNY libraries, the new version will provide enhanced services, user experience improvements, and better follow up features while still providing the same 24-7 chat coverage enjoyed in the past. The new software provides the option of creating a public knowledge base, which the Library will use to better share information about its services and events with the campus community. For more information, please contact Head of Reference Vanessa Arce Senati.
