December 1 is World AIDS Day
This year marks the 33rd World AIDS Day, which serves as reminder that HIV/AIDS continues to be a public health issue that impacts millions across the globe. The day promotes HIV/AIDS education, awareness, prevention and treatment, and works to reduce stigma and encourage conversation.

Annual Medical Student Ethics Conference Call for Submissions
The sixth annual MSEC is the only national conference that fully focuses on the ethical challenges faced by medical students on their path to becoming a physician. The organization committee invites students to submit abstracts for oral presentations on the ethical issues that a medical student faces. This year's theme is solidarity in healthcare. Email submissions to bioethics@amc.edu by December 15.
The best abstract presentation will win $200.
