OCTOBER IS HERE - HELLO FALL!
Fall Programs are underway, a lot of the old favorites are back, held in school buildings and town facilities. It feels good to be able to bring back some of the familiar programs and some new ones too!
Of course things can change, masks are currently required inside town and school buildings, so watch the website for updates.
I would like to introduce you to our new Clerk in the Parks and Recreation Department, Judy Bennett. This is her first week in the office, she is enthusiastically learning the ropes and is sure to be a great help and information source to you all in the coming months. Please join me in welcoming Judy to the P&R Team, we are very excited that she has come to join us!
The trails have sustained some washouts and tree damage from Ida and other storms we have had in September. The Parks Crew are doing their best to reach them all, while also maintaining top notch athletic fields, so please be patient. Also, if you see something that needs attention, please feel free to email us as we cannot visit all the trails as often as you do!
Thank you for your continued support in keeping Woodbury a clean, happy and beautiful place to live and play! If you have questions regarding this newsletter, please feel free to call
Sincerely,
Woodbury Parks & Recreation

Fall Session 2: 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13
Did you know that Martial Arts Training is 10 times better than Team Sports for developing a child’s self-esteem and self-confidence? Here at Soulcraft BJJ Woodbury we teach the skills that will last a lifetime! This 6 week program will teach your child fundamentals of self-defense, team work, improved self-confidence and introduce them to the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as popularized by the Gracie Family of Brazil.
We’ve designed our program to teach the core values of jiu jitsu as a lifestyle—striving to create a fun and practical approach to not only prepare children to defend themselves so they don’t have to; but as a way to teach respect, self-confidence, teamwork and valuable listening skills they can carry into the classroom and beyond.
Wear comfortable gym clothing and bring a water bottle.
