Bronco family,

As we head into the holiday season I find myself feeling especially thankful for all of you. Whether it was an email, phone call, or Zoom session, you have made my first year at Cal Poly Pomona a great one. You've given me your feedback, support, patience and understanding, and for that I will always be grateful.

I also want to remind you that the campus will be observing Thanksgiving on November 26th and 27th, which means there will be no classes, and University offices and departments will be closed. Please visit our Academic Planning and Resources page for more information.
Registration Refresher

It's been a few weeks since general registration for spring 2021 began -- so we wanted to check in and answer some questions that might come up as your students wrap up fall 2020.

Your student can still register for spring 2021 or make adjustments to their spring 2021 enrollment through December 2, the last day of general registration. If they miss general registration, they can register during the Add/Drop Period (beginning January 11). If they're registering for the first time in the registration cycle during Add/Drop, a $25 late registration fee may apply.

Your student can also still meet with an advisor to talk through their plans for spring 2021 and beyond. They can visit Student Success Central to learn more and check availability.
Spring 2021 fees are due December 3. The monthly payment plan is still available on the Student Accounting & Cashiering Services website, but they should sign up ASAP. The TouchNet payment plans make it easy to plan, budget and pay tuition on-time, interest free and without any surprises. Students and authorized users can enroll in an available plan and make payments via direct debit from their bank account or by credit card. You can learn more and sign up at our payment plan website. The fee payment deadline does not apply to students receiving financial aid.
Bronco Family Academy

I also want to thank everyone that joined us for our first Bronco Family Academy event with Collins College of Hospitality Management! I loved seeing you all engaging with our students while getting to hear about their first-hand experience with our fantastic polytechnic education.

Replay Now Available!
I have good news for anyone that was unable to attend the session live…we recorded it, so you can check it out at any time! It’s up on the Bronco Family website now, so you can head on over to view it at your convenience.

How’d We Do?
For those that did make it to the live session, or for anyone that views the recorded version, if you could take a moment to fill out this survey it would be greatly appreciated! It’s short and only takes about five minutes to complete.
Alpha Lambda Delta

Full-time, freshmen students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher in their first semester will receive an email invitation in January 2021 to join the Cal Poly Pomona chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD), the national honor society for first-year success.

Alpha Lambda Delta was founded in 1924 to recognize the high academic achievement of first-year college students, and is present on over 280 campuses across the United States. ALD offers leadership development, service activities, scholarship opportunities, and career development.

We are proud to recognize the academic achievements of our freshmen students by hosting an active ALD chapter at CPP. If your student meets the eligibility criteria, we hope you will encourage them to join. Instructions on how to accept their invitation and pay their membership dues will be included in their invitation email. For more information, please visit the national Alpha Lambda Delta website.
Please contact our office at 909-869-3009, or broncofamily@cpp.edu if you have any questions or would like any additional information.

For my safety and the safety of the broader community, I am now working remotely and am not on-campus. However, I can still be reached by email, phone, and/or have the ability to conduct virtual Zoom meetings during my regularly scheduled working hours.
